We have an opportunity for a Assistant Entity Controller to join our Corporate team in Bucharest, Romania. In this role you will leverage your accounting and general ledger experience to perform activities in collaboration with cross-business teams.
You will act as a role model for all company behaviors and values, and through your influence you will inspire colleagues and teams.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :
Performs accounting activities which may include General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Inter-Company, VAT and Tax reporting transactions, Inventories, Reporting, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
May assist finance functions with payroll, tax, sales and / or cost accounting
Processes and check journals according to the defined procedures and accounting principles and legislation
Produces routine reports, schedules, and summaries for management
Scans statements, ledgers, and accounts to identify unusual or overdue items and selects the correct procedure to verify or adjust discrepancies or errors
Responds to specific questions from business stake holders and clarifies situations when necessary
May establish, modify, document and co-ordinate implementation of accounting and accounting control procedures
Ensure all journal entries comply with internal and external audit specifications
Conduct accounts reconciliation periodically, ledger close activities, and provide accurate financial data to support management in decision making
QUALIFICATIONS :
Well organized, detailed, analytical individual with around 4 years experience on a similar role (as a Sr Accountant, inGeneral Accounting and reporting experience)
Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting
Knowledge of US GAAP / knowledge of IFRS is a plus
Understanding of financial reporting and internal controls
Strong skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, etc.) and ERP program : Oracle
Fluent in English
CECCAR or ACCA may be a plus
