The primary objective of this role is tocontinue the successful growth trajectory and end-to-end lifecycle management ofOracle Communication’s market-

leading Enterprise Session Border Controller(ESBC) product line and suite of adjacent products.

This experienced product manager will focus onmarket-driven innovation and overall evangelism of our product set to customersand partners located in the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) and Japan,Asia-

Pacific (JAPAC) regions. He / she will be an expert on customer, partner andtechnology trends from within those regions and will work with a broader productmanagement team to feed regional needs into product roadmaps and releases.

Additionally,they will help to generate product content to be used at all levels ofmarketing and sales enablement.

The product manager must possess a unique blendof business and technical savvy, and should be capable of establishing andaligning to big-

picture vision while building an actionable plan to do so.

Written and verbal communications skills arerequired to work across with all areas of the company... including marketing,services, engineering, alliances, and operations.

KEYRESPONSIBILITIES :

Become the de facto ESBC suite productmanagement expert in the EMEA and JAPAC regions.

Market : Identifying, interpreting and defining the needs of the market

  • Analyze market data and spend time inthe field to influence product tactics and strategies
  • Uncover and / or validate customer painpoints to define new product requirements
  • Work closely with a product marketing toarticulate how product works and interacts with other products in the portfolioincluding clear value propositions and competitive differentiators
  • Present product capabilities androadmaps to customers and partners in executive briefings and events
  • Engineering : Guidingengineering efforts by defining and prioritizing market requirements

  • Work with PLM leaders to deliver productinnovation against these needs by building consensus and collaborating with keystakeholders (e.
  • g. sales, engineering, marketing, services, etc)

  • Work with a release manager to helpengineering interpret the level of effort involved to create / maintain / end aproduct
  • Understand the CGBU and broader Oracle technologystack in order to extract value across portfolio
  • Translate technological differentiatorsinto meaningful product / solution value propositions
  • Business & Economics : Maximizing business value of the portfolio

  • Perform business due diligence oncustomer, partner and field-initiated requirements
  • Ensure profitability and economicviability of product set across various market dynamics : geo, customer size,etc.
  • Maintain a portfolio view to capitalizeon cross-product (or solution) opportunities
  • Analyze and track regional revenue andpipeline to identify relevant trends in our selling motions
  • REQUIREMENTS

  • 10+ years of product management orrelated high-tech management and marketing experience
  • Experience in Voice-over-IP, SIP,unified communications and contact center technologies is essential(cloud-based communications experience is highly desired)
  • Knowledge of enterprise and contactcenter voice and video networking platforms, including Microsoft / Teams,Genesys, Avaya, Alcatel-Lucent and Cisco a plus
  • High level of comfort when speaking orpresenting to customers, partners and analysts
  • Computer Science or Engineering degreeor related work experience desired, Masters preferred
  • 20-30% travel to customer / partners andindustry conferences primarily in Europe, Japan, and Asia-Pacific
  • Detailed Description and Job Requirements

    Lead a team that acts as the central resource and driving force for the design, process, manufacturing, test, quality and marketing of product(s) as they move from conception to distribution.

    Organize interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project / product on schedule and within budget.

    As a member of the product development division, you will analyze and integrate external customer specifications. Suggest and justify product directions and specifications.

    Specify, design and implement moderate changes to existing software architecture. Build new products and development tools.

    Build and execute unit tests and unit test plans. Review integration and regression test plans created by QA. Communicate with QA and porting engineering to discuss major changes to functionality.

    Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical / business skills in area of specialization.

    Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area.

    7 years of software engineering or related experience.
