The project :

The Software Engineer for Integration and Data Streaming within the Business Unit Global IT Land and Digital Solutions is responsible for planning of and realizing microservice architectures for data streaming applications in the cloud using data streaming technologies like Apache Kafka as well as integrations with legacy systems via sftp or JMS.

This includes filtering, processing, and mapping of data between various formats. The Software Engineer is part of a cross-functional, agile team.

The tasks include designing architectures for components or services, as well as the full development lifecycle (development, testing and maintenance) and operations of the services.

Responsibilities :

planning of microservice architectures for data streaming applications in the cloud,

design of architectures for components or microservices,

optimization of software and the development process,

code review.

Qualifications :

3 years of professional expertise in Java development,

experience in Kafka and microservices,

strong organizational and multi-tasking skills,

fluent English (written and spoken).

Tech stack : Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, REST, XML, JUnit, Mockito, SQL (PostgreSQL, Oracle), Microservices, Docker, AWS. Nice to have : Apache Camel framework, Kotlin, TestContainers, Kubernetes, EDI / Edifact.
