We are starting the work on a new mission critical system that will preserve and improve the trusted experience that Amazon provides to its customers.
This is a greenfield initiative with plenty of opportunity for innovation in the security space through new machine learning techniques.
We are seeking a Security Engineer who is focused on improving our application, system, and infrastructure security. You are obsessed with customer trust.
You have breadth and depth of security knowledge and can identify and advise on risks across multiple areas of an organization.
You will be solving security challenges at scale and working to help other teams create solutions while developing strong security culture and practices.
You have industry-leading technical abilities. You work with groups throughout Amazon to help them integrate security at all levels of their projects.
You are involved in hands-on security assessments, develop and provide guidance, and advocate security engineering best practices.
You proactively and continually improve your level of knowledge about Amazon’s business, information security, the threat landscape and relevant technologies.
You will work on Amazon’s hardest problems, building high quality, globally performing and scalable secure systems.
A Security Engineer in our team has a great passion for analyzing the services from security point of view, and an insatiable desire to be curious and search for continual improvement cycle that involves feedback collection from the issues that are investigated, additional risk assessment for monitored services and adjustments for the monitoring based on the proposed improvements.
This position will require working cross-functionally across multiple teams and technologies. Machine learning background is not necessary but a strong nice-to-have.
