About the Role

We are looking for a BI Developer to join Exago team and help us build reporting and dashboards functionalities for different client facing platforms and research products.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead and collaborate within a cross-functional team of technical and non-technical stakeholders and subject matter experts to collect report requirements, recommend parameters and collaboratively strategize to understand the desired outcomes and business needs to build scalable, intuitive, and flexible reports and dashboards (information tools with strong visual components) using Exago BI;
  • Responsible for building high performant models, reports and dashboards in Exago BI;
  • Specialized Data Handling working with both SQL (PostreSQL, mySQL, MariaDB, MSSQL) and noSQL databases (MongoDB); Perform SQL queries - design, code, test, optimization and aggregate the results to create useful information;
  • Analyze and organize raw data (large data sets) which can come from different sources;
  • Performs data analysis required to troubleshoot data related issues and assist in the resolution of data issues;
  • Maintains flexibility in meeting deadlines and expectations in the face of shifting priorities. Clearly communicates ideas and solutions to business stakeholders, leadership, and sponsors.
  • Qualifications

  • Experience as BI Developer, building reports, dashboards and data models;
  • Experience visualizing / presenting data for stakeholders using data visualization tools;
  • BS / MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical field (advanced degree preferred);
  • Knowledge of SQL database environments - PostreSQL, mySQL, MariaDB, MSSQL ; (No-SQL - MongoDB experience is a plus);
  • Demonstrated ability to translate client needs into marketable product features;
  • Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills;
  • Advanced MS Excel skills;
  • Knowledge of programming languages (e.g. C#, JavaScript) is a plus;
  • Experience with Linux / Unix would be considered a plus;
  • Experience with Agile Scrum;
  • Meticulousness and attentiveness to detail;
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and writing skills;
  • Excellent English language skills;
