As an Engineering Manager, you will lead a team of highly talented DevOps cloud specialists and software engineers, that are responsible for missing mission critical infrastructure services for Digital Experience.

The ability to communicate well is crucial, and you manage multiple initiatives with multiple engineers potentially across multiple teams in order to achieve Adobe’s reliability and efficiency goals.

You thrive on innovation and driving ideas forward and enjoy working cross-functionally.

What you’ll do :

Build and serve a successful and highly motivated team of engineers by :

  • Growing, coaching and mentoring your team, ensuring each team member receives fair & on-time feedback;
  • Designing & coordinating an efficient on-boarding process;
  • Establishing a trust-based environment in a globally distributed team;
  • Drive and support implementation of software engineering practices

  • Facilitating team communication and collaboration using an Agile methodology
  • Influencing and driving new strategic projects, initiatives, standards and best practices in Software Engineering.
  • Ensuring Continuous Service Improvement.
  • Drive operational excellence for our multi-cloud services by :

  • Maintaining and improving reliability of our platforms and services;
  • Solving problems related to mission critical services and building automation to prevent problem recurrence and scale the business.
  • Continuously monitoring and improving of the Incident Management process;
  • Facilitate collaboration with other stakeholders by :

  • Working closely with US peers, aligning on priorities and enabling the team to offer technology and services to other internal SRE and Engineering teams;
  • Defining processes and best practices to organise seamless collaboration between internal teams;
  • Proactively engaging with other teams to improve architecture and the way of working;
  • Working with internal teams to jointly establish Service Level Agreements, focusing on implementing clear Service Level Targets and the right monitoring to enable our customer success.
  • What do you need to succeed :

    Minimum qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience managing end-to-end lifecycle of Infrastructure and / or Software Engineering projects;
  • Technical knowledge and background, having the ability to understand the current context and solution architectures; capable of technical deep-
  • dives into code, operating systems, networking, storage, containers, virtualization, and cloud environments;
  • Strong people management and leadership skills;
  • Strong communication and organising skills;
  • Solid background in software engineering and infrastructure cloud operations;
  • A proactive and can-do attitude;
  • Ability to work calm under pressure;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English;
  • Experience of working in a global environment;
  • Understanding of working in a matrix organisational structure.
  • Preferred qualifications

  • Experience with DevOps practices and Twelve-Factor App principles;
  • Experience in designing and implementing scalable cloud-based solution architectures for PaaS, IaaS or SaaS;
  • Experience with automating large-scale infrastructures using open source software.

    The Engineering Infrastructure Services team supports Digital Experience solutions in a growing and large-scale multi-cloud environment, in both public and private cloud.

    EIS provides shared services to an internal Adobe customer base of engineers, SREs and R&D teams.
