Associate Forecast Analyst - Contractor
Job location : This is a remote position, you can be based anywhere within commutable distance to Cluj, Romania.
What you will do
The Associate Forecast Analyst is an internal consulting position within Kinaxis’s Professional Services, Strategic Services organization.
You will work closely with other team members in order to help deliver customer projects related to Demand Sensing and Forecast Improvements.
Leverage data science techniques to identify possible predictors and correlated variables
Set experimental designs to identify causal drivers through data science and statistical techniques
Work with current ML forecasting models to identify ways to enhance explainability and the repeatability of explainability processes
Work with additional ML applications to enhance the understanding and anticipation of demand shocks, big orders and rare events
Utilize data science and ML techniques to better identify signals for demand switches
Review the application of demand decomposition across various industries
What we are looking for
Degree in a quantitative field or equivalent experience : data science, statistics, econometrics, mathematics, computer science
3-5 years of experience in Data Science or related field
1-2 years’ of relevant experience in manufacturing, retail, consumer packaged goods
Knowledge of demand forecasting and demand sensing an asset
Excellent communication and organization skills
Ability to effectively collaborate with other internal groups and the Senior Business Data Scientists on the team
Ability to manage multiple priorities and perform well in a fast-paced environment
Ability to be self-driven and work both independently and in a collaborative environment, as required
Ability to work virtually
Things that would help
Detailed knowledge of Demand Planning, Aggregated Supply Planning, Order Fulfilment, Capacity Planning, Inventory Management
Familiarity with SHAP or equivalent packages
