EY has a well-established Climate Change and Sustainability practice to respond to our client’s growing need of guidance in this area, including ESG strategy, sustainability / non-financial reporting and / or regulatory reporting, EHS and environmental management, circular economy, sustainable finance etc.
Our Climate Change and Sustainability Services (CCaSS) team is growing exponentially, and as a Senior Consultant you’ll play a key role in that growth.
We are looking to expand our team of professionals focused on providing high value, independent, trusted advice to our clients as they transition to a more sustainable economy.
We are at the forefront of current trends in climate change and sustainability and we engage with clients at all levels to provide insight into these developments.
We want candidates who are dedicated and capable of helping us to develop our dynamic sustainability practice that is focused on making the difference for our clients, as they navigate this agenda, and the society at large.
Your Key Responsibilities
In this role you will work as part of a wider team to support business development efforts, win project work and advise EY's clients on sustainability advisory, assurance and related services. You will :
Assist organizations on how they manage and report on socio-economic value creation or sustainability information, including non-financial reporting (GRI, TCFD, SASB etc.
standards), greenhouse gas emissions, responsible supply chains, climate risk;
Perform regulatory compliance checks (NFRD, CSRD, SFDR, etc.) or EHS and ESG due-diligence;
Provide assurance for non-financial information and reports (according to e.g. ISAE );
Identify and communicate relevant trends, developments and key performance drivers relevant to the client and its industry;
Collaborate with the Managers and the Partners to execute a CCaSS strategy that satisfies high client expectations, support the planning, execution and delivery of the engagements;
Contribute actively in the CCaSS engagement team to understand and respond to the client's needs and expectations and develop a client-focused, clear, accurate and well-presented work product;
Ensure work is delivered in a timely manner and in compliance with EY high standard requirements;
Assist in developing new opportunities related to new CCaSS projects and relationships;
Contribute to the development of the CCaSS team supporting junior members and leading by example.
To qualify for the role :
You have at least 3 years of work experience advising clients on sustainability and environmental issues, (e.g. Sustainability Reporting and assurance;
Sustainability / ESG Strategy; Impact measurement; Life-cycle assessment; Climate change risk; Carbon measurement and management;
EHS Risk and compliance, Circular economy etc.);
You have a very good understanding of key sustainability issues and trends and how they link to business value;
You are curious and purpose driven. We’re looking for people who see opportunities instead of challenges, who ask better questions to seek better answers that build a better working world;
Strong technical, quantitative and analytical skills;
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Romanian.
