ABOUT THE TEAM
The User Experience Team is responsible for ensuring all aspects of any digital product that users experience directly including its form, behavior, and content are learnable, usable, useful, and aesthetically pleasing.
The team operates as part of Sustainalytics’ Information and Communication Technology Team.
Our User Experience Team is equipped with the latest technology to ensure reliability and quality of the products and services we offer to the global company.
Sustainalytics has an in-house ICT team of more than 40 specialists who continuously develop and support our product offerings.
Work with product managers and business owners to identify user requirements and map out user workflows across the various products;
Create high-impact design based on research in the defined timeframe.
Work with development engineers in order to support and validate the correct implementation of design and user experience;
Maintain an up-to-date design and user experience guidelines across a family of internally and externally facing applications for desktop, tablets and mobile devices.
Specific User Experience Responsibilities include but are not limited to :
Assisting in running research sessions.
Write up research notes, perform competitor analysis.
Takes direction from senior UX team member.
Planning and executing smaller scale research projects, drawing on research from various areas of the business : analytics, client’s feedback, account managers.
Good presentation skills and able to present to senior stakeholders and good stakeholder management skills
Specific User Interface Responsibilities include but are not limited to :
Executing design work consistent with design and brand standards, analytics insight, stakeholders’ feedback.
Takes direction from a Senior UX team member and requires close guidance to deliver design work effectively.
Delivers design work on programs of any size with minimal oversight.
Effectively negotiates trade-offs with product management and development.
User Experience Required Skills
Methodologies - Experienced in research methods - usability testing, stakeholders interview, focus groups. Familiar with contextual studies - card sorting, A / B testing, user story mapping.
Software - Familiar with Adobe XD, Illustrator, and Photoshop, PowerPoint, Word, Excel.
Desired : Experience in Lean / Agile UX, familiar with any prototyping tool : Adobe XD, Invision, Axure, etc.
User Interface Required Skills
Design - Sketching, concept creation and wire framing, producing sitemaps and user flows, creating clickable prototypes.
Working with user research teams to plan usability testing sessions and delivers artifacts for testing. Using user insight, analytics, best practice, competitor analysis to inform design decisions.
Shares work to get feedback and iterates their thinking with continual review.
Design Specification - Delivers appropriate level of specification needed to ensure high quality development on time. Collaborates as appropriate on creating user stories to define development tasks.
Best practice and design consistency - Researching and sharing industry trends, competitors, and comparable experiences.
Driving and documenting design standards and patterns across channels and products.
Planning - Plans own work executing against deadlines. Finds ways to maximize the efficiency in an agile process.
Working in a team - Collaborating with visual designers, developers, product owners, marketing, and content managers to define product experience and champion the user.
Basic Coding (a plus) Proficiency with valid, cross-browser HTML & CSS. Experience with SASS or LESS. Experience with Bootstrap.
Three years of industry experience designing / prototyping web applications;
A portfolio demonstrating relevant experience in user-centric design;
Bachelor's degree, preferably in a technical or design-related discipline;
Excellent communication and writing skills.
