Main activities / responsibilities
Manages and provides leadership for the delivery of moderate to complex projects, programs and / or portfolios prioritized in alignment with the client’s expectations and business needs.
Projects may include multiple disciplines and / or significant business process re-engineering efforts.
Manages people for programs or projects involving department or cross-functional teams focused on the delivery of projects and / or programs into a finished state.
Plans and directs schedules as well as project budgets.
Organizes project activities that may require interdepartmental meetings and communication ensuring completion of the program / project on schedule and within budget constraints.
At times directs the activities of project support staff and sub-contractors and is responsible for ensuring appropriate resources are allocated and maintained to facilitate the successful completion of the project.
Assigns and monitors work of subject matter expert personnel, providing support and interpretation of instructions / objectives.
Manages and coordinates projects priorities that requires critical thinking and complex problem solving.
Leads and communicates project scope, goals and responsibilities to project team; establish clear stakeholder expectations, and requirements of varying degrees of complexity.
Develops and maintains reporting procedures and monitors performance in project control activities; prepares and distributes reports related to project activities, general project management, and financial issues.
The Project Manager implements and oversees all aspects of the execution of a project :
Setting up the project framework enabling effective communication across project members;
Deliver integrated planning, documenting progress and results of the execution, working to minimize project risks and possible impacts, determining teams to deliver against the timeline;
Certifying the project goals are met, celebrating the success and facilitating lessons learned;
Overall, the Project Manager leads, monitors and reports on project progress and helps coordinate project team, support functions, client and third parties for the flawless execution of projects.
