mobility to contribute to a sustainable future. ABB operates in more than 100 countries with about 147,000 employees. Currently we are looking for : Functional Business Consultant.

Tasks :

  • Responsible for providing chargeable consulting services involving the formulation, implementation and ongoing use of ABB’s commercial solutions for its customers to meet their business needs and processes;
  • Provides support to the Sales Team during the Sales Cycle for Business Process, Solution capability and implementation project expertise;
  • Contributes as requested to proposals, RFI’s and tender responses;
  • Provides support to, and via, the Global Customer Care team for Customer in production Business Process and Solution problems and queries;
  • Takes a leading role in consulting assignments of medium complexity and support in the development of consultancy solutions and services;
  • Follows work plans and cost estimates in the assigned area(s) of responsibility. Ensures quality and timely implementation within target cost;
  • Is required to adhere to Project and ABB quality standards;
  • As an individual contributor, the Consultant is to ensure compliance with all ABB policy, process or guidelines.
  • Requirements :

  • Bachelor’s or higher degree; or appropriate equivalent;
  • Fluent spoken and written English;
  • Advanced user of MS Office;
  • Relevant industry technical certifications desirable;
  • Knowledge of preventative, predictive and shut down (Outage) planning, scheduling and work management an advantage;
  • Good practical understanding and experience of the Supply Chain provision of materials and services, and the interaction with effective maintenance;
  • Ability to identify business drivers and work with a project team to propose practical solutions;
  • Ability to lead, direct, advise and guide other consulting staff as part of a wider implementation team;
  • Experience of aspects of maintenance and work management and / or maintenance related supply chain in an asset intensive industry, preferably in utilities or transportation;
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills;
  • Lateral thinking and problem solving.
