The scope of this position includes analysis of, and debugging system problems of any kind, to problem resolution, and effective communication of IT issues and resolution.
Interaction with vendors and other IT members and management of procurement issues for hardware and software products is required.
Work with a team of system administrators who support the European sites along with the extended Synopsys corporate support staff.
Take corrective action to fix potential problems or communicating potential issues to appropriate personnel. It is also important to set and communicate priorities, solve problems quickly with good follow-through to verify completion.
BS or equivalent with a minimum of 3-5 years of related experience.
Possesses a solid understanding of specialization area plus working knowledge of one other related area.
Requires strong inter-personal and communication skills along with the ability to multi-task and solve problems.
Able to schedule, prioritize, accomplish R&D related activities and communicate actions and results as needed.
Proficiency with all aspects of Windows and Linux system administration, programming and scripting, experience with network operations is preferred.
