The software development center in Romania generates patents and patent solutions for technologies that contribute to the ongoing development of the NXP solution portfolio that addresses a variety of segments of the semiconductor market.

You will be part of the Automotive Solutions & Applications Engineer (S&AE) team that will entail interacting on a day-to-day basis with customers to provide technical solutions which allow them to experience the full benefits of NXP products in their unique environment.

The S&AE division supports roles and responsibilities at the intersection of hardware and software, including system architecture, validation, customers support, boards development and more.

Your Mission

Improve / Develop demonstration systems leveraging hardware and software integration.

Put in place a methodology for reproducing all the demos cross sites.

Setup environment with the hardware (boards, silicon samples, debug probes) and the associated software (Operating System and workloads).

Isolate software bugs and develop test cases to demonstrate and solve software bugs from customer input.

Perform characterization on silicon of system-level use cases (Linux / Android).

Your team

The Solutions and Applications Engineering Organization is a customer facing team which is responsible for owning the customer experience for all Enablement technology surrounding i.

MX and ADAS solutions for NXP. We are a diversified team with high energy, an open collaboration environment and eagerness for continuous improvement.

Based in Romania you will have a lot of contacts with European Team (Czech Republic, France, Belgium) but also American and Asian teams.

Your profile

Bachelor or Master student focused on Electronics, Telecommunications or Computer Science, who is passionate, proactive and willing to peer with our engineers using innovative technologies (both hardware and software).

To ensure your success in an internship role at NXP, you need to feel comfortable working with Linux and / or Android and be curious about how it works in embedded environment.

Eager to use an oscilloscope while debugging your software and understand how these work together.

If you can answer simple fundamental questions about C / C++, understand how an OS or embedded hardware works or ever done an app in Android which you are able to explain easily your success is guaranteed.

Same if you convince that you really, really would like to learn about these.
