Ø Job Description

The Junior Strategic Buyer is responsible to providesupport to strategic activities and built the ability to plan, organize andcontrol the strategic activities in the future.

The focus will be on the SupplyBase Management strategy to achieve lowest total costs, effective assetmanagement, continuous quality improvement, delivery and cycle time performanceimprovement and early supplier involvement in product development.

Key Tasks / Responsibilities

  • Provide support for the results to be in line with Global Strategies assigned to the site
  • Generate improvement ideas for General Cash Flow (Productivity Projects, Payments Terms, Monthly Payment terms cycle, MOQs) and other projects
  • Conduct negotiations related to the lead times, pricing, payment terms, quantities
  • Analyse demand and prices to identify new cost reduction projects
  • Alignment on Technical Specifications with engineering
  • Explore alternative supply possibilities
  • Prepare and execute RFQ’s (Request for Quotations) and eAuctions
  • Support VE CE results, work with ISC to ensure site optimal implementation to maximize savings and reduce excess inventory
  • Support NPI initiatives, projects, cycle time, productivity and / or Working Capital
  • Built the ability to generate NPI initiatives, projects, cycle time, productivity and / or Working Capital
  • Select and manage required suppliers who have the capacity and capability to meet the material and subcontract needs of the business
  • Ensure tight and collaborative alignment with Materials Planning
  • Attend relevant business workshop, Staff Meetings, Tier Meetings and face to face meetings with suppliers


  • Spanish language required (minimum intermediate level)
  • University degree in engineering, manufacturing, production or related domains
  • Some knowledge of Strategic Sourcing with a focus in international supply base management
  • Ability to work in a cross functional team oriented environment
  • Superior oral and written communication skills

  • Good organizational skills with an ability to prioritize
  • Competent appearance, negotiation skills and assertiveness
  • Ability to build teamwork to accomplish business objectives
  • English fluent speaking and writing
  • Rapid problem solving skills
  • Good knowledge in SAP and MS Office
  • Willingness to travel
