We are looking for a senior system engineer for the Control Technology department in Vitesco Timisoara in order to grow our team and match existing team expertise.
Our product portfolio of Control Technology consists in complex automotive products such as : Engine Controllers, SCR Controllers, Fuel Cell Controllers, Powertrain Domain Controllers, HV Battery Management Control Units developed for leading automotive brands like : BMW, Daimler, VW, GM, Renault and Nissan.
As a Senior System Engineer you will coordinate and develop and test system functions according to VT development process that is defined according to automotive standards like Automotive SPICE and the ISO 26262.
In our organization the senior system engineer ensures development, maintenance and tracking of requirements on system (component) level.
Defines the system architecture and decomposes the system into sub-systems (platform, modules, and components).
Activities which combine analytical and design knowledge with software and hardware technology, in the sense of designing, testing, implementation & modification of informatic systems which contain as main component software.
During your daily activities as a system engineer you will be responsible for :
Create, analyze and resolve problem records and change requests;
Specify requirements, and within the scope of known tasks analyze feasibility of requirements and provide effort estimations and create guidelines;
Create system architectural designs, design system components;
Verify implemented system components by carrying out developer as well as define test orders for system testing;
Synchronize independently with other development teams (disciplines) Software engineering, Electronics engineering, and Mechanical engineering teams;
Support activities performed by different roles within the project like : Configuration Manager, Change Manager, Requirement Manager, Function Specialist, Product Specialist;
Participate in internal SYS assessments and represent the own area of responsibility;
Coordinate system development activities within a limited scope;
Interfaces internally to System Technical Project Leader;
Interface to customers and third-party vendors;
Periodically report on work progress, escalate immediately in case of expected delay to the System Technical Project Leader and / or Group Leader.
A mentor will support you to stepwise take over own responsibility after an initial training phase which will familiarize you with our products, tools, processes and organization.
Job Requirements :
Bachelor of applied sciences' degree or higher in computer engineering, automation technology, information technology, electrical engineering or similar;
Knowledge with regards to system development for real-time embedded systems;
System development processes, incl. requirements engineering, system design, system integration and testing;
System development according to ISO 26262 and Automotive SPICE;
Software design and development knowledge regarding embedded operating systems, diagnosis, and software development processes;
Hardware and electronic circuits, ability to read schematics and block diagrams;
Fluent English written and verbal skills.
