What this position is about - Purpose :
EHS Director’s overall objective is to efficiently direct the activities of the EHS department to ensure compliance with occupational health, safety and environmental legal requirements and in line with Company Standards and Romanian law.
He / She leads implementation of the Global JTI EHS programs & management systems to establish and monitor the implementation of the EHS performance indicators.
EHS Director is managing EHS area for JTI Factory in Romania and is Factory Director Proxy of following Management systems : ISO14001, ISO 45.
001, ISO50001, ensuring the management of Integrated Management System Quality, Environmental, Health and Occupational Safety.
What will you do - Responsibilities :
Monitor the manufacturing conformity is achieved and maintained in line with EHS legal requirements and company standards
Ensure the development and implementation of global policies and management systems in the field of environmental protection and personnel safety
Represent JTI Manufacturing Romania in front of JTI Global Functions and Romanian authorities to carry out production activities in compliance with company requirements and applicable laws
Cooperate with Global EHS and local Management Team, aiming to reach understanding of the company safety and environmental vision and provide / support EHS audits in other factories
Create risk assessment for health and safety aspects of work, to know the potential hazards and maintain necessary control measures
Prepare EHS plans and budget for annual ASP process to drive EHS management system based on : ISO14001, OHSAS18001, ISO 50001
Determine training needs and develop EHS training programs with other departments to improve the effectiveness of the organization performance
Plan internal audits and monitors the implementation of corrective actions / preventive resulting from audits
Promote employee awareness of the Golden Rules of Safety
Initiate the development of tools for communication to employees of the company's policies and standards regarding environmental protection and personnel safety as part of the global safety program
Guide, motivate and manage the professional development of the team reporting directly to EHS Director
Who are we looking for - Requirements :
5+ years of professional experience in senior management positions in EHS and working experience in manufacturing / production environment
University degree, preferably in engineering (OHS, EHS)
Special courses : occupational safety and environmental protection management, auditor quality, environment, health and safety, External auditor of EHS MS ISO14001+ and OHSAS18001+ ISO50001
Fluent written and spoken English and Romanian
MS Office - confident user
