5 years payroll & admin experience within a company with at least 500 employees;
Knowledge of HR practices, especially in payroll & admin, compensation & benefits and labor legislation areas
Strong payroll and tax experience
Experience with HR / Payroll applications
Broad knowledge of benefits and benefit administration
Mastery of Windows office tools
Ability to manage data in large numbers
Your main responsibilities will be to :
Ensure the processing of employee master data changes, new hires, transfers, promotions and terminations is accurate and timely
Ensure that all necessary documents have been received, information accurately entered the computer data base, and forwarded to payroll
Conduct new employee orientations, ensuring all necessary forms and documents are completed and returned. Enters new employee information into computer data base, working closely with Payroll and Information Services.
Sets up all necessary personnel files, answers questions, and follows up as needed
Ensure the monthly process for payroll calculation is run correctly for all stages;
Review and analyze current payroll in order to recommend and implement changes leading to best-practice operations
Assist with analyzing data and recommending changes to salary ranges. Maintain salary range information and records
Answer routine benefits questions for managers and employees, and assists with problem solving
Responsible for legal actions regarding issues with employees, collaboration with lawyers / legal advisors along the legal processes
Ensure that all necessary forms and documentation are completed for any workers compensation claims, or short term or long-term disability claims.
Ensures that all parties are kept informed, and that proper follow up is conducted
Manage regular preparation of relevant management reports, including weekly, monthly, quarterly and year-end reports; -Assist with the annual budget process
Review-, recommend- and update- HR processes and procedures
Maintain the relationship with the HR services providers (such as payroll provider, banking services provider)
Participate as an active member of one or more cross-functional teams.
Conduct exit interviews with employees leaving the company, providing them with pertinent and accurate information, notifying necessary health / insurance providers.
Conduct, write up, and distribute the exit interview
Assist with annual benefits renewals, including the negotiations and necessary enrollment procedures
Work with the Intranet Team; organizes, plans and produces the information for the Intranet
Conduct ongoing research into emerging trends, issues and best practices
Ensure that compensation practices are following current legislation
Identify potential areas for improvement. Develop and implement solutions to increase efficiency and improve performance.
