Provides direction and specialist knowledge in applying the technology / application to client business. Facilitation of customer product / application understanding through presentations demonstrations and benchmarks;

provision of support throughout the sell.

As a Senior Sales Consultant you will be responsible for providing presales technical / functional support to prospective clients and customers while ensuring customer satisfaction with minimal supervision.

Acts as a technical resource for less experienced Sales Consultants. Develop and deliver high quality standard Oracle presentations and demonstrations.

Present and articulate advanced product features and benefits, product future direction and overall Oracle solutions. Design, validate, and present Oracle software solutions to include advanced product concepts, future direction, and 3rd party complimentary products.

Develop and manage reference sites through high quality technical, professional client relationships.

Job duties are varied and complex, needing independent judgment. May have project lead role. 5 years vendor (sales and marketing) experience.

5 years relevant computer applications or database / tools. Demonstrated proficiency in one multi-user operating system.

Through knowledge of system and application design. Strong verbal and written communication skills : needs analysis, positioning, business justification, closing techniques.

Demonstrated ability to solve complex technical problems with accounts in complex technical environments. Ability to travel as needed.

BS degree or equivalent; advanced degree desirable.

Department Description

Oracle Pre-Sales is the function that provides product expertise to sales, customers & partners in Oracle. Oracle has a large community of Sales Consultants that engage on a daily basis in tasks such as :

Reusable product customizations & demonstrations by translating our customer's business needs into Oracle solutions

Technical proofs of concept including the ones with data provided by clients

Interacting with product development about new releases and new functionality

Successful sales consultants are in high demand and have the opportunity to pursue a career path both within Pre-Sales as well as in many different IT and non-IT functions.

Our Oracle CX Demo Engineering team is a team of custom demo builders and solution finding masters with a passion for new technologies and staying ahead of the technology curve.

This is a critical role in driving the continued success of Oracle’s customers in North America.

As a Technical Pre-Sales Consultant for Oracle CX Demo Engineering, you will work as a member of a pre-sales team to solve business and technical problems for prospective clients and customers.

You will uncover and understand demonstration goals laid out by the field SE team and work with them along with product management and demo services / provisioning teams to come up with the best possible solution / configuration based on business and technology requirements of the clients.

The developer will collaborate with other team members like Functional Consultants, UI / UX Designers, DevOps Engineers or other developers, based in the US, Romania or India.

Ideal candidate should have :

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent technical experience

Experience with Visual Builder Cloud Service (VBCS)

Prior experience with Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC)

Good understanding and experience with REST APIs (e.g. endpoints of Oracle SaaS products)

Experience in developing and delivering Web or Mobile apps based HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, REST, Oracle JET, VBCS

Familiar with other modern JavaScript frameworks such as Node, Angular, React, Vue

Capable to explore non-Oracle technologies and pick them fast like AI and ML techniques, React Native, Angular and other day to day technologies growing rapidly

Experience in cloud enterprise software development

Innovator mindset who is always looking for something new or improving existing skills with the intent of adding value to the Oracle products

Also, nice to have :

Experience with Oracle CX (Customer Experience) products

Basic knowledge of platforms : Oracle DB, MySQL, MongoDB, Oracle HTTP Server / Apache, Docker

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure basic understanding

To be a good fit for this position one needs to demonstrate :

Aptitude to learn new technologies / techniques quickly and efficiently

Strong analytical skills

Willingness to work towards achieving goals in a changing and challenging environment

Team player who can motivate and lead

Pro-activeness (Self-Starter)

Must be fluent (speaking and writing) in English, as the role will support United States based teams
