This is a unique opportunity to join an international company as a Junior Sales Engineer (located in our Global Business Center in Bucharest .

In this position you will be responsible for making sure that the customer feels valued and receives the best service, growing sustainably and profitably of the account, management of the account (system maintenance, reporting, offer preparation, sales data management, etc.

This role will report to the Customer Account Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • To ensure customer’s support to any requirements such as studies, change requests and any other product or process developments related to a business activity
  • To support the account manager in setting the yearly budget, the sales plan, up to date forecasts
  • To support any specific commercial actions requested by the company (e.g. material recovery, red ink elimination, productivity cancellation, etc.)
  • To stay updated through ongoing market and competitor analysis
  • To ensure all business management systems are up to date
  • To be the interface and support the coordination with the other departments of Tenneco in order to have a coordinated activity with the customer(s) aligned with the company guidance
  • To comply with company health, safety and environmental rules related to the sales function
  • To inform the Tenneco customer satisfaction department of the customer feedback and general opinion of the company
  • Request for quotation, project follow up :
  • To support the programs of the customer(s)
  • To chase RFQs and promote products and services of the company in front of customers
  • To initiate and follow up the RFQ process according to the released applicable procedures
  • To be part of the project team, participate and support the different phases of development, industrialization, serial life and ensure that project’s commitments are honored
  • Required Skills

    What will make you successful

  • Technical and / or Commercial degree or equal through experience
  • A first experience in a similar role is welcomed but not required
  • Fluent in English and good knowledge of German is a must
  • Proficient in Excel and Windows office tools
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Use diplomacy and empathy in exchanges
  • Flexible, agile, and adaptable
  • Focus efficiency / time management
  • Highly self-motivated, energetic individual
