About the role
Together with our partner, a product company focused on cyber-security, we are looking for a QA Automation Engineer that will add skills to the already established and experienced team.
The new colleague will have the chance to deep dive into an emergent and new business, cyber-risk quantification.
The hiring company represents the place where security comes to work. It provides the only Platform to unite Cyber Risk Quantification (RQ), Threat Intelligence Platform (TIP), and Security Orchestration and Response (SOAR) capabilities, aligning the entire security lifecycle to the goal of reducing risk.
In this role you’ll get to. . .
write automated test cases to validate our partner's platform;
manually test their software and integrations, as their customers would, to validate positive and negative flows and ensure a pleasant UX experience;
use your analytical and testing skills to turn requirements into test cases;
help reduce technical debt by working with legacy integrations that don’t have written requirements;
exercise your REST API knowledge to interact with APIs and validate the platform work as expected;
work closely with the Development and Product teams to help them release new features;
collaborate with the rest of the team defining process, templates and standards that will guide QA efforts;
find new ways to automate test cases and help the team be less reliant on manual testing;
work with your teammates to constantly improve our processes;
write clear and well thought out defect reports.
In the first month, they will expect you to
get onboarded and meet the team;
get a good understanding of the market they operate;
study and understand the product;
understand the team delivery process;
test your first assigned tickets.
At 3 months they will expect you to
have a good understanding of the product;
be able to pick up more complex tasks;
follow the best practices, the team is following.
At 6 months they will expect you to
be fully versant with the product’s testing methodology;
contribute new ideas and ways to optimize the product;
write automated tests.
At 12 months they will expect you to
be capable of working in an autonomous fashion;
identify improvement opportunities.
About the team
you will be among the firsts members of a team that is being built in Cluj;
you will work in the first months as part of a team based in US, and in about 6 months part of a autonomous team in Cluj;
we follow Agile software delivery methodology, more specifically, Kanban.
experience in using test automation frameworks (Selenium, Cypress or others);
software Quality Assurance / testing experience required (min. 4-5 years);
comfortable with REST APIs;
understanding of and experience with all aspects of the software development life cycle;
experience working remotely and in conjunction with remote teams;
strong written and verbal communication skills;
good written and spoken skills in English;
Desired Skills :
experience working with Linux and shell environments;
knowledge of SQL databases;
experience working in an Agile environment;
BSc / BA in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
