People Payroll and Compliance / Audit Lead

The People Payroll and Compliance / Audit Lead in Bucharest is responsible for evolving the Global process and control framework to govern the Payroll input, and to lead all compliance and audit responsibility across the People Service and Tech Team, including identifying and testing control points in our data framework.

Responsibilities :

  • Deliver an end-to-end consistent approach to Payroll input, including all the interfaces between third part vendor systems and Payroll, breaking down the current Regional approach
  • Develop and implement a robust control framework to govern the accuracy and effectiveness of Payroll input, including monthly recurrent data integrity controls to ensure the HR accuracy of the data in Workday
  • Develop and implement automation opportunities that minimizes the human intervention between data points within Workday and other vendor systems and Payroll input file
  • Managing the E2E audit requirements for the People Team, including proactively anticipating issue areas and ensuring compliance
  • Manage the relationship between Risk / Audit and People Team, including leading on internal risk and audit activities
  • Setting annual calendar for Vendor payments and assuring the operational delivery
  • Accountability :

  • Delivery 99% + accuracy in Payroll input
  • Monthly global payroll input accuracy and timeliness
  • Accuracy of Payroll input data in Workday and vendor systems
  • HR Audits (internal and external)
  • Management responsibility of the resources across the PST who deliver the Regional Payroll inputs
  • Developing inputs to feed the Payroll Steerco (chaired by CFO and CPPO)
  • Relationship between Payroll Vendor and Payroll / People Services
  • Continuous process improvement of the Payroll input process
  • Vendor management operational delivery
  • Skills Requirements :

  • 2+ years in a PST leadership position
  • Exceptional influence and stakeholder management to manage third party vendors, and senior cross-functional teams (facing off to the Chief Risk Officer and the VP Finance Shared Services)
  • Process design, improvement mindset and change management, with the ability to develop and implement a new global process
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to communicate relevant information to all levels of the organization and collaborate effectively at all levels across the organization
  • People Technology experience, with deep understanding of Workday
  • Framing able to process vast and complex data and information and create simple, succinct, and comprehensive recommendation to an ELT Steerco to drive improvements and effectiveness of the Payroll process
  • Excellent time management skills, ability to manage multiple tasks and manage own workload
  • At least 2 years of experience in a complex multinational business environment, with focus on HR & Payroll for multiple entities
  • Proven ability to maintain confidentiality, strong personal integrity
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken), 2nd language is a plus
