This position presents an exciting opportunity to support the creation and enhancement of systems that support the acquisition, management and delivery of research content on behalf of Sustainalytics’ ESG Products Team.

You will join a dynamic, multinational and strategically important Product Strategy and Development group whose responsibilities include implementation and maintenance of products and oversees the design and delivery of our research to clients via our online platforms, API and data feeds.

You will be instrumental in the delivery of Sustainalytics’ research to customers through multiple delivery channels, in the design of efficient data flows that assure quality of the end-product and will contribute to cross-functional projects including creation and upgrade of research tools and internal / external reporting platforms.

Reporting to Associate Director, Product Operations, you will engage with product managers, product operations managers and implementation partners across multiple ICT teams to develop and implement enhancements and initiatives for multiple products.

The ideal candidate will have experience in working with technical and non-technical stakeholders in the management, design or development of data products, data acquisition systems and data delivery systems.


  • Review business requirements generated by ESG Products Team and translate to specific technical requirements for submission to multiple ICT Teams.
  • Determine feasibility of initiatives through engagement with ICT implementation partners and collaborate in solution design.
  • Ensure analysis is completed and documented for Requirements Readiness project stage gates in collaboration with ICT stakeholders.
  • Contribute to technical aspects of Operational Readiness project stage gate.
  • Define product acceptance criteria, coordinate product acceptance testing processes with Product Operations Quality team and participate in testing.
  • Act as Product Management team’s voice for design / enhancement / implementation of a diverse range of internal IT projects.
  • Act as Product Management team’s voice on process design, enabling more efficient processes that lead to higher product quality
  • Review and track customer and internal feedback regarding product quality issues that relate to data management, data flow and data delivery.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and analyze issues, defects and problems and work with ICT partners to recommend and implement solutions.

  • 3+ years of relevant work experience in business analysis, product management, project management or similar roles.
  • Technical knowledge or experience appropriate for collaboration with software development teams, database management teams, IT architects, technical product managers / owners, release managers etc.
  • Experience related to the application of ESG research in investment process is an asset.
  • Alignment with Sustainalytics’ mission, vision and values .

  • Strong business process / product / project management and execution skills.
  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills.
  • Strong data skills and familiarity with tools including Excel, PowerBI or similar.
  • Problem solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent written, verbal communication and documentation skills.
  • Interpersonal and team leadership skills.
  • Work experience in culturally diverse environments is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and comfortable working with remote teams.
  • A genuine team player who can achieve objectives through close collaboration and coordination with others.
