CloudEnablement and Automation - Tooling and Automation Engineer – IC2
As part of the Cloud Enablement and Automation, Toolingand Automation team within Oracle’s Global Information Technology organization,you will be responsible for the Operations of IT services to Oracle’sbusinesses worldwide, these services include the management and support of theinternal global tooling infrastructure/platform to enable Enterprise Automation &Service Assurance functions, using both off-the-shelf products and open-source/freewareTools.
Workingas part of a global team, the successful candidate will provide operationalsupport for the suite of tools used to provide Automation, assurance andmonitoring to Oracle Global IT providing:
Proactivecapabilities - Execution of service health checks, failover testing, complianceand more.
Reactivecapabilities - Incidents and change request resolution and escalations. Vendorengagement (TAC).
Monitoring– Event pickup and triage, instant support.
Maintenance of applications, reaction to failures, liaisewith engineers and suppliers as necessary. Escalate client problems accordingto established procedures. Recommend enhancements to the network infrastructureand enhance proactive network management tool set. Troubleshoot problemsthrough to resolution, occasionally with guidance from more experienced staff,depending on complexity. Respond to monitor alarms to identify the root causeof an outage and coordinate the corrective action in line with existingprocedures and practices. Provide on-call support services as needed.
