We are looking for a leader able to coordinate the professional activities of his / her team in line with the group and Business Unit strategy and expectations, quality standards, process requirements and the defined timeline.
As a Team Leader in the BMS group it is expected that you :
manage the software development team by providing technical direction and helping to ensure that the project is completed on time and on / under budget;
assure interface of the team towards next levels of management;
collaborate with other Continental teams to ensure synchronization across multiple teams, contributing to the final Continental goals;
are responsible for performance, motivation, give & receive feedback, discuss the roadmap and to plan actions if necessary;
ensure that employee’s competencies and capabilities from your team are at the level required by the job and facilitate knowledge sharing at team level;
are responsible for implementing working procedures in order to meet quality standards and encourage improvements in your area of expertise, in processes and procedures;
allocate incoming work, existing resources and sets up priorities in order to meet upcoming / ongoing tasks and have balanced workload;
manage hiring, mentoring, coaching and training of employees;
provide salary recommendations for your team members, based on periodical evaluation of performance;
University degree in a relevant field (Automatic Control and Computer Science, Electronics and Telecommunication, Informatics, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics etc.);
Knowledge of electronics and microcontrollers;
Knowledge of embedded applications;
Knowledge of structured multi-layered SW Architecture;
Programming skills in ANSI C;
Full Professional Proficiency in English;
Previous work experience in a relevant field (minimum 5 years);
Prior experience in a technical leadership position (as an expert or project manager);
Good coordination skills and organizing abilities;
Knowledge of (SW) project management principles;
Knowledge of software development processes and quality techniques;
Good communication and presentation skills;
Initiative, dedication, attention to detail;
Ability to make decisions based on limited amount of information;
