Job Summary

Credit InitiationOfficer is responsible for managing all credit initiation (unsecured creditrequests, restructuring credit requests) activities and processes effectivelyand efficiently, in alignment with the overall Company risk appetite framework.

The Credit Initiation Officer position will report to the Credit InitiationManager.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Analyze thecredit requests for individuals from risk perspective;
  • Make all thenecessary checks and corrections needed or request for supplementary documents,if case, in order to take the appropriate decision, according to the policiesin place for the individuals credit requests analyzed at this level;
  • Draw thefinancing proposal and present the documentation for individuals non-standardcredit requests that are to be submitted to Risk Policy Manager or CreditCommittee;
  • Ensure thatcredit origination decisions are executed in line with the delegated authoritywhile adhering to the process standards;
  • Act quickly anddecisively when any risk and control weakness becomes apparent and ensures theyare addressed within an appropriate timeframe and escalated through therelevant committees;
  • Make all therequired checks for the individuals’ restructuring requests;
  • Manage turnaroundtime within agreed KPIs;
  • Ensurecompliance with the highest standards of regulatory and business conduct andcompliance practices as defined by internal and external requirements;
  • Activelyinvolves in testing and implementing new informational applications or thedevelopments of the existing application that are in the Credit InitiationDepartment area of expertise;
  • Carries out shopadvisory activities, if case;
  • Keep theconfidentiality over the information from the individual credit applications.
  • Required Skillsand Experience

  • Business Strategy and Model : good working knowledgeof credit initiation in retail business, at least two years of experience,preferably in banking field (secured products is a plus).
  • Non-technicalSkills : strong written / oral communication and influencing skills. Ability tocreate effective work relationships within and across functions & teams.
  • Risk Managementand Control : good working knowledge of credit processes and controls.
  • RegulatoryFramework and Requirements : strong awareness and understanding of the relevantregulatory framework.
