Team : Portfolio Management

Function : CTO Strategy & Optimisation

Location : Cluj / Porto

Reports to : Head of Portfolio

Department Overview :

As part of the Strategy & Optimisation team the Portfolio function will co-ordinates a collection of strategic processes and decisions that together enable the most effective balance of projects for the organisation, (Includes Technology, Commercial Online, Risk & Trading, Customer Operations, International, Retail, Compliance and Corporate).

Role Overview / Purpose :

The coordinates the dynamic decision processes for products. By managing alignment across Commercial and Technology the Portfolio Manager maintains an effective project balance and investment approach to achieve commercial product objectives.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Take charge of demand management, support stakeholders through efficient demand processes
  • Own a transparent and commercially understandable view of the portfolio for the group
  • Preserve a balanced and efficient pipeline of new products
  • Provide insight so stakeholders understand delivery capability in terms of product outcome
  • Promote commercial awareness to all stakeholders (demand & supply) to yield value for money
  • Show portfolio alignment to business strategy, highlight & resolve where it does not align
  • Set and continually revise investment strategy with stakeholders, manage portfolio accordingly
  • Own the approach to maintaining effective relationships and communication between stakeholders who initiate, define and deliver product
  • Perform regular health checks on the product portfolio, identify and resolve risks and issues
  • Identify and settle product inter-dependencies, business trade-offs and benefits realisation
  • Coordinate with stakeholders including Finance to produce product forecasts & budgets
  • Own, ensure accuracy and relevancy of all product communications for the allocated portfolio

  • Knowledge of technology environments and the products that are built thereon

  • Education, Qualifications & Experience :

  • Bachelors / Master’s degree in a business or technology discipline
  • Previous experience in running programmes and projects is essential
