Role purpose :

  • To implement, build and execute leading edge corporatecommunications policies across a wide range of media to support the company’sstrategy and to build a strong brand for Vodafone Romania.
  • To enhance the company’s reputation externally,throughout all relevant means, for all relevant external stakeholders. Theperson will need to work cross functionally with key internal stakeholders toexecute, build and deliver the key messages and content.
  • To contribute to communication leadership for VodafoneRomania, to further strengthen relationships with all levels of externalcontacts, including opinion leaders, influencers from Romania and abroad,including group level, media and social media stakeholders.
  • Keyresponsibilities :

  • To provide communications that enhance the company’sreputation externally, in line with the strategy, and to build a strong brandfavorability for Vodafone Romania
  • To plan, manage, execute and deliver corporate communicationtactics and contribute to the strategy, plans and projects
  • To contribute to the building of a strong brand andfurther enhance the external reputation
  • To further drive positive perception for the VodafoneFoundation across media
  • To build messages, provide support and guidance forexternal speeches and presentations
  • To strengthen the company top reputation with opinionleaders, influencers, the media and social media, as well as relevant businesspartners, ensuring that appropriate relationships are built and maintained
  • To build, deliver and execute PR messages for allrelevant business units. To provide PR support to all internal stakeholders onexternal communications activities
  • To make sure that the company’s reputation in theonline environment is enhanced or, in case of a crisis, affected as little aspossible
  • To ensure the signing of contracts with providers andthe relationship with them, with the support of the Procurement team
  • To manage the department budget, the expenses and reporting,with the support of Finance department
  • Requirements :

  • At least 5 years in the communication field, preferablyin PR
  • University / Post-university studies in communications(journalism or PR)
  • Advanced command of Romanian and English
  • Detailed understanding of Tier 1 media dynamics, andexperience of social and digital media techniques and how to use them
  • An understanding of how to work effectively acrosscultures and to build a sense of collective advocacy, empowerment andengagement between people of different backgrounds
  • Solid understanding of the business environment andability to choose the most relevant spokespersons and to build and adaptmessages so that the communications objectives are achieved
  • A high level of emotional intelligence
  • Experience working with matrix structures and anon-hierarchical environment
  • Experience working with top management team members,including CEO
  • Experience in working with parent-company and othergroup representatives and in adjusting strategies and tactics to variousmarkets
  • Proven ability to adapt to new environments / contextsand to adjust quickly to new challenges in order to deliver efficiently the keymessages to the appropriate stakeholders
  • First-class copywriter and outstanding oralcommunicator with strong public presentation abilities
  • Knowledge of national and regional media, policylandscape and key regulatory and policy institutions
  • Demonstrable ability to be a self-starter who thinksstrategically, devising new and better ways of working
  • Ability of taking ownership of complex projectsrequiring extensive resources (human, budget etc.) and assuming responsibilityfor aligning and coordinating multiple level stakeholders, internal andexternal company departments, agencies and other providers, beneficiaries, orpartners
  • Strong track record of achievement in deliveringintegrated multi-audience communications strategies intended to bring a shiftin perception
