High School Diploma and a Bachelor’s Degree from a University (preferred)
Fluent in English
Highly skilled in the extensive use of various software programs, such as the Google Drive Suite (Sites, Docs, Sheets, Slides, etc) and the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
Able to effectively use photo and video editing software and applications to aid in the documentation of learning
Competent and adept at learning to use new digital tools, demonstrating a positive problem-solving attitude
Able to work with diverse computing platforms to support the 1 : 1 program in Elementary
Able to work collaboratively
Able to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
Expectation of self-directed time and appropriate decision making skills.
AISB is seeking a certified seasoned professional to take over the new role of Elementary Administration and Technology Assistant to actively support the Elementary School Office and the PYP Educational Technology Department in the day-
to-day operations involving databases, user account management, digital systems and digital content. This position requires from the successful candidate a love for technology, a willingness to problem-
solve, flexibility, and great attention to detail. The Elementary Administration and Technology Assistant will report to the Elementary Principal.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Areas of responsibility & accountability :
Managing account setup and user accounts of various educational tools used for student learning and parent communication
Creating and maintaining student databases
Using technology to facilitate communication such as creation of data collection points, mail merges, etc
Preparing and maintaining templates to facilitate student learning data
With guidance from the Educational Technology Team, supporting the production of visual pieces such as tutorials, digital posters, pieces of signage, etc.
As instructed by the Educational Technology Team, liaising with the IT Help Desk to support technology needs in the classrooms
Clerical tasks in support of ongoing projects
Additional responsibilities as assigned by appropriate staff.
This is a full time position starting as soon as possible. This full time position is open to local hires. This is an administrative position with 23 vacation days per year.
