Job Description :
Leading, directing and motivating project teams to deliver IT project initiatives through to project closure;
Managing key internal and external stakeholder relationships to ensure optimum services are provided to the Bank in the delivery of project implementations;
Supporting the procurement of external resources and services for project implementations;
Managing project budgets, ensuring any over-runs are communicated to project sponsors and governance committees in a timely manner;
Reporting of project progress and the escalation of issues and risks to the project governance committee(s);
Being responsible to adhere to PMO processes, including the lifecycle and controlled stage gate process;
Being responsible for the delivery of key project documentation for the project team and project sponsors including the Project Definition Document, Detailed Design documents, regular progress update reports and the Project End report;
Assisting with the definition and adoption of IT PMO standards based on best practice for development initiatives;
Advising and ensuring governance on delivery approaches including waterfall and Agile;
Providing guidance, direction, quality assurance and retaining oversight of all elements of software delivery management;
Guiding and supporting the Product Owner and key stakeholders of the value of Scrum and Agile principles;
Guiding and coaching the Software Delivery Managers and Scrum team(s) on how to get the most out of self-organisation;
Supporting the transition of this Scope of Services to a Third Party Provider once appointed;
Organizing and managing the selection process of an Agile Management Toolset. E.g. Jira, VersionOne, Rally etc;
Collaborating with the current team leads to define the programme / project structure to be configured in the newly selected toolset.
Proven experience as an Agile practitioner with a minimum of 5 years experience of organizing teams to deliver large scale, complex strategic projects;
A minimum of three years Scrum Master experience running multiple software development teams;
Educated to degree level or equivalent, with qualification in an IT, engineering or scientific discipline, desired, ideally hold one or more Scrum Master / Agile equivalent qualifications;
Knowledge of numerous well documented patterns and techniques for filling in the intentional gaps left in the Scrum approach (example : numerous Burn down / Burn Up techniques, numerous Retrospective formats, handling issues / bugs);
Experience of being on multiple Scrum teams in a variety of different contexts (different team sizes, different organizations, different cultures, co-located vs. distributed);
Knowledge of other approaches discussed in the Agile : XP, Kanban, Crystal;
Knowledge and experience with widely successful Agile techniques : User Stories, BDD, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, Agile Games;
Excellent communication and mentoring skills.
