The BU Learning Manager constantly drives learning process and ensures learning flow across the BU Body & Security.

He / she is responsible for the development of a modern and growth-oriented training strategy and training delivery, learning administration and evaluation.

He / she ensures collaboration and knowledge sharing within the BU.

Tasks :

  • Develop and implement modern, future oriented training technologies to support a global organization fully considering available guidelines and synergies on Division & Corporate Level
  • Together with BU Competency Manager develop a training process and apply all required steps from concept to validated roll out and maintenance
  • Together with BU Competency Manager identify the learning needs which are required to optimally prepare the global workforce for their current as well as their upcoming tasks.
  • Set-up, communicate and execute learning strategies in alignment with the R&D managers and BU Competency Manager
  • Align with SMEs and / or Learning Designer on development & bundling opportunities
  • Ensures implementation of defined quality management process (e.g. Evaluation, Naming Conventions)
  • Transfer training development process and apply all required steps from concept to validated roll out and maintenance
  • Act as the point of contact for our Training Responsibles and maintain internal processes and standard documentation
  • Execute the process of mapping competencies to training measures
  • Work closely with the BU Competency Manager in order to define strategy and measures, how to close competency gaps.
  • Monitor the identification, planning and execution of content administration for our global Learning Management System
  • Conduct usability tests to evaluate the need for system enhancements
  • Define concept and strategy for measuring of learning efficiency.
  • Drive execution of the evaluation in close collaboration with the BU Competency Manager
  • Give feedback to training responsibles, trainers, process owners and management about training performance
  • Report KPI's related to learning, run reports out of the system, perform evaluation and provide standardized reports
  • Ensure collaboration and knowledge sharing (training reuse) within the corporate, divisional and BU organization
  • Steer and coordinate the Local Training Responsibles in order to ensure training delivery and rollout into the B&S locations
  • Provide common standards for organizational unit / location (templates, training material, guidelines, tools,...)
  • Conduct train the trainer measures
  • Review training material
  • Support Training Content Responsibles (TCR) at developing a training concept and material
  • Source and select training providers
  • A mentor will support you to stepwise take over responsibility after an initial training phase which will familiarize you with our products, tools, processes, and organization.

    Qualifications

  • University degree (or equivalent) in areas of Education Science, Business Science, Information Technology, Human Resources, Instructional Design, Social Sciences, Engineering
  • 8+ years of work experience, preferably in different roles (e.g. Development, Project Management)
  • Work experience in different functional areas outside desired
  • Knowledge of teaching, instructional design and training and development desired
  • Good knowledge of processes and tools within Continental
  • Experience in project management
  • Successfully managed (desired) or collaborated (mandatory) in international engineering projects
  • Leadership experience with direct responsibility for group of employees desired.
  • Experience in leading and coordinating remote and international teams preferred.
  • International experience or exposure to international work content in previous roles desirable.
  • Interpersonal and intercultural competencies desired.
